$10 NATIVE PINK HONEYSUCKLE VINE - Planted in 1 gallon pots, now about 1½-2 feet tall

Providing nectar for hummingbirds, bees, & butterflies (plus beauty in the landscape) this vine will flower from June to Autumn.  In September it has bright red berries to sustain a variety of birds, including quail.  This pretty honeysuckle effectively disguises unsightly fences or structures.  It can be a flowering hedge, a groundcover, or it may be trained on a trellis, pergola, or archway where it will scramble up between 3 and 15 feet.  Lonicera hispidula  USDA Zones 5-9

$10 LAVENDER BUSHES - FULL, BUSHY, BLOOMING PROFUSELY - PLANTED IN 1 GALLON POTS

 SPANISH LAVENDER has the most profuse deep purple flowers - fragrant & vibrant from the earliest spring blooms to the end of autumn.  The bush is compact with a rounded shape about 1 foot high. Spanish Lavender is deer and rabbit resistant and when mature, drought tolerant.  Flowers are excellent for potpourri, essential oil, lotion, candles, soaps and for dried flower arrangements or wreaths.  Used in aromatherapy it is said to have calming properties. Because of its neat and tidy shape, Spanish Lavender is often chosen for growing in containers or as a border along pathways and patios. Lavandula stoechas Anouk ‘Primavera’ USDA Zones 7-9 

ENGLISH LAVENDER has highly fragrant violet-blue flowers from June through summer’s end. It is easy to grow and especially stunning planted in groupings.  The winter-hardy bush grows 1 to 1½ feet tall, is rabbit & deer resistant and drought tolerant when established.  It is superb used in potpourris, dried bouquets, oils, perfumes, aromatherapy or for medicinal uses.  English Lavender a favorite variety in sweet or savory cooking and for teas & summer beverages.  Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote Blue’  USDA Zones 5-9

A North American Native - This Gold Medal Award winning bush blooms from early summer until fall frost with pure-white flowers that are supported by strong stems.  They attract butterflies and make excellent dried flower arrangements.  Lovely oak-shaped dark green leaves turn bronze/red in autumn and flowers fade to a dusty rose.  Peeling bark adds interest in winter.  Snow Queen Oakleaf Hydrangea grows in full sun but also blooms in shade.  A row provides privacy and makes a 4 to 6 foot tall hedge with unique, beautiful leaves and flowers. $10 (or less!)HARDY HIBISCUS BUSH-THE MOTHER BUSH TO ALL OUR GALLON PLANTS IS IN FULL FLOWER NOW BY THE NURSERY SHOP.  This bush has eye-catching ruffled flowers in bloom all summer long, up to the first hard frost.  The lush double-bloomed flowers have subtle variations in hues of blue and soft lilac, giving a gentle and peaceful atmosphere to the landscape.  A row of Hardy Hibiscus bushes creates an effective flowering summer privacy hedge that matures about 8 to 12 feet tall.  A bonus is that it will attract hummingbirds and butterflies to your yard.  Hardy Hibiscus is remarkably easy to grow, tough, deer resistant and heat/cold tolerant.   This Hardy Hibiscus variety thrives in the Portland area – all the ones we sell are propagated from a bush that has flourished here on the farm for over a decade.  Planted in 1 gallon pots, now 1–1½ foot tall  USDA Zones 5 – 9 Hardy to -10˚F 

$10 (or less!) REBLOOMING DAYLILIES - 3 colors (Hemerocallis) (including one dwarf variety)

YELLOW PUNCH is petite – a dwarf daylily – staying 12 to 15 inches high.  It is one of the earliest to bloom, with a prolific show of golden reblooming flowers throughout summer.  Considered one of the hardiest daylilies, it is low-maintenance.  It grows well in full sun to part shade, handles drought, and is rabbit resistant.  Yellow Punch dwarf daylily is showy in containers for an entry, patio, or deck.  It is especially dramatic when planted in groupings or as a low border.  Hemerocallis ‘Everydaylily Yellow Punch’  USDA Zones 3-9

AWESOME BLOSSOM’S large flowers (up to 5 inches) have earned it the ‘Award of Merit’ award from the American Daylily Society.   It blooms continuously early to late summer, with the variegated pastel coloration attracting butterflies and hummingbirds.  Awesome Beauty is drought tolerant and rabbit resistant.  It stays about 1 to 2 feet tall in our area and is well-suited for mixed variety flowerbeds, borders, or containers. NIGHT BEACON is an easy-to-grow reblooming daylily with vivid blooms that are excellent for summer bouquets.  It is known for an abundance of theatrical deep purple flowers with yellow centers.  The hardy plant grows 24 to 28 inches high, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies.  Night Beacon is low-maintenance, drought tolerant, and rabbit resistant.  It handles heat or cold and will grow in partial shade.  Night Beacon has been honored with an Honorable Mention Award from the American Daylily Society.  Hemerocallis ‘Night Beacon’’  USDA Zones 2-9

$10 (or less) TWINBERRY HONEYSUCKLE BUSH– a good choice for native or wildlife gardens. In spring it has yellow flowers followed in summer by glossy black berries with deep red bracts.  These attract quail, butterflies, and hummingbirds.  Native North Americans used the fruit, stem, and leaves for dye and other purposes.  Twinberry matures into a graceful bush about 5 to 6 feet tall. Lonicera involucrata     USDA Zones 5 - 10

$10 (or less) CANNA LILY-THESE ARE NOW BLOOMING AROUND THE NURSERY SO YOU CAN SEE THEIR GORGEOUS COLORS! – (yellow/orange, red or purple colored flowers available) Dramatic sunset-colored flowers bloom on strong stalks that get 2 to 3 feet tall.  They give a tropical look and make excellent accent plants in any landscape - in the ground or in containers.  Cannas add beauty when grown in water features and around the edges of ponds.  They are deer resistant, versatile, and easy-care flowering plants.  Established and planted in 1 gallon pots, about 1 to 2 1/2 feet tall now.
