MOLTEN GLASS SCULPTURES

These are distinctive one-of-a-kind gifts.
They also make great fountains!
These individual works of art start as crushed recycled glass of all colors, shapes and textures. Then over a sweltering fire in a wood-burning stove the glass fragments are heated, liquified, cooled and turned over and around. Often all of these steps are repeated a number of times. This continues until all the glass fragments are fused and transformed.
Sometimes obsidian, local rocks, and other items may be added to the glass in this fiery fusing process. The finished sculpture may be planted, usually with succulents, and perhaps fanciful figures might be added. (Look for them, they may be hiding.)
These sculptures are suitable for indoors.
If kept outside, they should probably be brought in or put under cover in winter.
