PLUM TREES - Semi-dwarf, maturing about 12 to 15 feet tall.
THESE VARIETIES ARE ALL SELF-FERTILE.
All are planted in 5 gallon pots.
Because of their age and size, these trees usually will fruit 2 to 3 years after planting (depending on where they are planted and how well they are tended & watered.) This year some fruited while they were for sale at the nursery.

COMBO PLUM TREE VARIETY CHOICES INCLUDE:
SHIRO Yellow, juicy sweet mild flavor. Very nutritious, said to have health benefits. Ripens July to August.
BLUE DAMSON Shiny deep purple, spicy tart flavor. Famous for use in cooking. Ripens September.
METHLEY Sweet red flesh, good for eating, preserves, or jelly. Ready to harvest early. Ripens early June
FRENCH PRUNE (Compares to the Italian Prune – they are quite similar) Deep reddish-black skin, sweet & mild flavor, especially good for dehydrating and preserving. Ripens August/September
SANTA ROSA Large, bright red/purple, sweet/tart. Good fresh, canned & in cooking. Ripens July to Aug.
BEAUTY Sweet yellow flesh marbled with red – surprisingly beautiful as you bite into it. Ripens early July

ITALIAN PLUM/PRUNE tastes great freshly picked, with a mild, yet snappy flavor that has a slight citrus tang. The firm flesh makes it outstanding to can, freeze, or to dry for healthy snacks. The fruit also stores extremely well. The cold-hardy tree blooms late so it can avoid spring frosts. Italian Plum is everbearing, which means the fruit ripens continually throughout August to autumn.
